Executive Board Positions:

The Ten (10) Unit Chairs and one (1) Member at Large (Indigenous Member) positions are elected on a 2 – year term on a rotating basis. During the April 26th Annual General Membership Meeting, 6 Unit Chairs were acclaimed leaving 4 positions vacant.

Pursuant to our new Bylaws, for this first election cycle, some positions will commence on a 1-year term (to be elected in odd years moving forward), while other positions will be elected for a 2-year term (to be elected in even years moving forward).


Deadline

The Unit Chairs, Member-at-Large & Trustee Nominations must be received by in the union office by August 24, 2022 – Midnight

Elections Committee Announcement for the April AGM Meeting

March 30, 2022

Announcement from the Elections Committee:

The Union Officers, Unit Chairs, Member-at-Large (Indigenous) and Trustee nomination period closed on March 24, 2022. One nomination was received for each of the following positions: President,
Vice-President, Recording Secretary, six Unit Chairs (out of ten Unit Chair vacancies) and one Trustee (out of two Trustees vacancies).

Therefore, electronic elections will not be required. The candidates will be announced, acclaimed, and sworn in at the April Annual General Membership Meeting, taking place on April 26, 2022.

The vacant positions will be carried forward for an election after the April Annual General Membership Meeting.

Announcement from the Elections Committee

The Union Officer and Trustee election nomination period closed on January 24, 2022 and we only received one nomination for position of – Treasurer, and none for the position of Trustee.

Therefore, electronic elections will not be required. The candidate will be announced, acclaimed, and sworn in at the February 9th Special Membership Meeting.

The Trustee position will be carried forward at a later date.
